Weston County Health Services Housekeeper (EVS) - PRN in Newcastle, Wyoming
Under general direction, cleans all areas of the hospital and nursing home by performing routine cleaning of patient and resident rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and corridors. Demonstrates the ability to utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
Essential Functions
- Promote the mission, vision, and values of Weston County Health Services (WCHS)
- Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and corridors in a clean, neat and sanitary manner
- Performs terminal/detailed cleaning by following a checklist or as instructed by the Infection Prevention Nurse
- Completes Work Assignments in a timely manner
- Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure
- Uses and maintains equipment properly
- Assists visitors with directions whenever requested
- Reports safety hazards as appropriate
- Transports trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal areas
- Replenishes supplies as needed
- Follows all infection control practices including handwashing techniques, Standard Precautions and Isolation Precautions
