Description
You’ll join a uniquely collaborative, multi-discipline engineering community working across our domestic design centers creating cutting edge products for global markets. Your team will be part of a larger layout group that also provides HBT, SAW and BAW Filters, SOI, CMOS and MCM layout services. In this position, you will have the opportunity to make a uniquely large impact on the success of the company by working closely with multiple teams and functions throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
• Provide leadership building and growing our custom IC layouts to support Skyworks MSB products.
• Lead a team working closely with RF and analog IC design engineers to layout and verify ICs for wireless consumer electronic products
• Effectively communicate with engineering teams to meet schedules and milestones.
• Interface with Silicon IC design engineers and layout teams, in multiple design centers, across multiple time zones
• Mentor and train individuals in RF/analog IC layout development using Cadence Virtuoso
• Work closely with other leaders to establish and maintain common best practices and workflows across all sites
• Effectively communicate with engineering teams to assure the success of the layout project.
• Organize, prioritize, and manage logistic on tasks and resource allocations for the multiple projects these layouts go into.
• Work with contractors on any performance and development needed to produce first pass layouts.
• Coordinate layout staff assignments, review IP layout data, release IP data to enterprise libraries.
Required Experience and Skills
• BS degree, or equivalent, with at least 8 years of experience in the layout of Silicon and SOI layout designs
• Experience using a schematic/netlist driven CAD layout process
• Strong leadership skills, a self-starter and team player with ability to learn on the job
• Previous IC team leadership experience
• Proficient using Cadence Virtuoso and Calibre verification tools
• Ability to prioritize and allocate layout resources
• Project management experience
• Proficient in layout data review and DRC/LVS checking
• Excellent communication, organizational and mentoring skills

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $112,500 - $215,900 per year . Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
