Job Title: Press Operator
Job Description
As a Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating and setting up press machines, primarily stamping presses, to manufacture metal aerospace parts in accordance with customer specifications. This role requires performing quality checks on finished stamped parts, troubleshooting machine issues, and operating overhead cranes to move raw metal. This position demands flexibility to work all shifts in a union environment, currently operating on a 12 on 2 off schedule.
Responsibilities
Operate press machines, primarily stamping presses.
Perform set-ups of the machines.
Stamp metal aerospace parts to customer specifications.
Perform quality checks on finished stamped parts.
Troubleshoot machine issues.
Operate overhead cranes to move raw metal.
Essential Skills
Experience within a heavy manufacturing environment.
Experience operating heavy industrial machinery, such as stamping presses and punch presses.
2+ years of heavy industrial machine operating experience.
Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
Willingness to work all shifts.
Willingness to work overtime (up to 64 hours per week as per contract).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with burn tables, shears, drill presses, foundries, press brakes, machine operations, forging, heat treatment, metal stamping, metal finishing, steel manufacturing, steel plants, steel saws, and punch presses.

Work Environment
This is a heavy industrial manufacturing environment where temperatures can vary, being hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Metals weighing between 20 - 350 lbs. are moved using cranes or automated robots, so there are no physical lifting requirements. Inspectors will have assigned workstations but will move around to perform various quality testing tasks.
