Kenneth Copeland Ministries Broadcast Systems Administrator in Newark, Texas
POSITION SUMMARY: This position reports to the Chief Engineer. The main duties of the position are to develop and administer the computing and storage systems of the growing Broadcast Television department. In addition to the main duties the position involves supporting the rest of the Engineering staff as needed.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain and Administer Broadcast Department storage systems, FTP and intranet servers, application servers, and cloud applications.
Handle problem recognition, research, resolve and follow-up for problems, inform management of potential problems and identify problem trends.
Administer and integrate departmental Active Directory domain and permissions infrastructure with premise and cloud applications.
Develop and implement data security infrastructure.
Interface with Broadcast Operations personnel to administer Digital Asset Management, Media Archiving, and database systems.
Provide Software and Workflow Development team with specialized hardware and software environment needs.
Configure, administer, and support cloud-based inventory, ticketing, and scheduling applications.
Configure SNMP and API-based network monitoring systems including PRTG and Dataminer.
Provide frontline support of IP infrastructure, including Cisco and Arista switching, and fiber and copper structured cabling.
Provide second-tier support to departmental end users on MacOS, Windows, and Linux
Assist in setup and configuration of end user systems and Broadcast-specific software applications.
Use discretion with Engineering initiatives and projects before rollout to other departments, reporting issues directly to the Chief Engineer and project supervisor.
Document work, updating ticketing and database systems, drawings, and project documents as needed.
Follow Ministry standards for all incident management processes.
Other duties as assigned by Chief Engineer and/or supervisor.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
High school graduate, plus additional technical training or equivalent experience in relevant electronics, computing, and networking fields.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience:
Seven years minimum experience in application and/or network support and administration. It is preferable to have experience in supporting Broadcast or Media Communications end users and applications.
Linux (Ubuntu and CentOS), MacOS, and Windows operating systems
Hyper-V and Windows Server - Microsoft certifications a plus
IPv4 subnetting and routing
Cisco (Small Business, Catalyst, and Nexus) and Arista switching - CCNA or equivalent certification a plus
Computer Hardware - A+ certification a plus
Cloud Applications including Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Suite, Wrike.
Cloud Computing Platforms including AWS and Azure.
Video encoding and streaming applications and providers.
Must be able to work independently.
High level of analytical skills to find solutions to complex technical and system problems.
Ability to give, receive and analyze information, formulate work plans, prepare written reports.
Must be very organized and require minimum instruction.
Must stay current on industry best practices, technology, and trends.
EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:
Dell, HPE, and Supermicro server platforms.
MacBooks, Windows laptops and desktops.
Cisco and Arista switching, Ruckus wireless.
Cato SD-WAN and VPN.
Raritan KVM.
Specialized Broadcast equipment, primarily Ross, EditShare, BMD, AJA.
Fiber optic cabling and patch gear.
Typical datacenter racking and infrastructure gear.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to work any hours required to keep the Broadcast system on the air and or live productions.
Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, calculators, telephones and other office equipment.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
Must be able to pull, push, stand, sit, stoop, bend, reach, move or carry equipment.
Must be able to use hand tools, climb ladders and work under desks and on floors.

Membership and attendance at EMIC are preferred.
