Overnight Yard Jockey/ Yard Switcher position open in Newark, NJ and Can Start Immediately!

Pay : $19-$20/hour ; Overtime: $28.50-$33/hour (Overtime is Available)

Location : Newark, NJ

Overnight Shift : 3rd Shift 10PM – 6:30AM (Sunday-Thursday and Tuesday-Saturday)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Yard Jockey to secure and organize our container storage yard. The ideal candidate will utilize a yard switcher and pickup truck, direct drivers picking up and dropping off equipment, manage gate security transactions, lift and relocate improperly parked equipment, and perform security checks and inventory counts.

Description:

Secure and organize container storage yard

Utilizing a yard switcher and forklift moving ports

Outdoor position, utilizing yard tractor to move cargo ports and organize yard.

Directing drivers picking up and dropping off equipment

Gate security transactions

Lifting and relocating improperly parked equipment

Security checks and inventory counts

Skills:

General labor, Forklift, driving, loading, material handling, inventory, truck

Additional

Skills & Qualifications:

Basic computer skills

Forklift experience

Yard hustler

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00
