VMware has several opportunities for SWAT Sourcing Recruiters (both FTE and contract openings) to join our Talent Acquisition team.

The Elevator Pitch: Why will you enjoy this new opportunity?

The VMware SWAT sourcing team is doubling and there is a ton of opportunity for growth! As part of the VMware SWAT Sourcing team, you will be engaged in sourcing, screening, qualifying, researching, and providing top talent against VMware’s highest priority products within the R&D product organization. You will be seen as a strategic partner to your hiring managers and recruiting counterparts, and will have the ability to influence and drive a robust pipeline strategy. If you love to source but also love to interact directly with the business, then this might be the role for you!

What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

  • Full top of the funnel sourcing support to include a strong emphasis on passively sourced talent

  • Leverage data to include market intelligence and talent mapping to provide key insights into the market, DEI, and other hiring trends that might influence pipeline strategy

  • Obtain in depth knowledge on the assigned openings to enable you to screen and qualify top talent

  • Build strong partnerships with your stakeholders (hiring managers and recruiters) through effective communication and updates

Success in the Role: What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

  • Within the first 30 days you will have a consistent pipeline of recruiter screens and onsite interviews, and you will have a solid grasp of the business unit and roles you’re supporting

  • Within your first 60 days you will have a robust and inclusive pipeline that generates at least 3 offerable candidates per month and increases the team’s DEI pipeline

  • Within your first 180 days you will have solidified your sourcing process, held a consistently robust and inclusive pipeline, and built strong partnerships with your stakeholders

  • Within your first year, you will have become a key partner and expert for pipeline in your business unit, and begun to start expanding your skills cross functionally

What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?

You will report directly to the SWAT Manager, who prides herself on an open, transparent, fun, and inclusive culture. We are a globally distributed team who all work 100% from home, but we rely on weekly team meetings, coffee syncs, and lots of fun posts in our private team channel to stay connected and keep the culture light and fun. You will join a team of 9 sourcing recruiters which will be growing to 18.
