Psychologist Regional Diagnostic Treatment Center FT Days Req #: 0000086125 Category: Behavioral and Mental Health Status: Full-Time Shift: Day Facility: Newark Beth Israel Medical Center Department: GR-Regional Diagnostic Treatme Location: Newark Beth Israel Medical Ctr, 201 LYONS AVENUE, NEWARK, NJ 07112-2027 Clinical Staff Job Description Position: Mental Health Clinician Program: Metro Regional Diagnostic and Treatment Center RDTC Job Qualifications: Master s degree or higher in psychology, social work, and/or other mental health profession Job Specific Requirements -Under supervision: Psychosocial Assessments: Conducts psychosocial evaluations of children and adolescents referred for child maltreatment by Division of Child Protection and Permanency -DCPP, Crisis Intervention: Provides crisis intervention and emergency services to child victims and families as needed, Psychotherapy: Provides trauma informed individual and group therapy to child victims and families, Forensic Reports, treatment plans and progress notes: Provides well integrated psychosocial evaluations in timely fashion for use by DCPP and their Deputy Attorney Generals -DAGs- as needed for court proceedings, Develops and monitors trauma informed individual patient treatment plans with goals, measurable objectives and outcomes, Maintains timely progress notes necessary for documentation in medical records, Training in Child Maltreatment: Provides training in child abuse and neglect to hospitals, community agencies, schools and to other professionals in the field of child maltreatment, Weekly Supervision Attends weekly supervision consistently and well-prepared Reports to: Supervising Psychologist/Lead Social Worker or Metro RDTC Clinical Director Additional Information: First established in 1901, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center is a 665-bed quaternary care, teaching hospital that provides comprehensive health care for the region.
