What you will do
PGIM Quantitative Solutions is looking for a Senior Investment Associate to work within their Multi-Asset Research Team. The successful candidate will assist in conducting quantitative investment research to support Multi-Asset investment strategies. The position will report directly to the Director of Multi-Asset Research.
What you can expect:
You will conduct original quantitative research on a variety of topics. Research areas include tactical allocation across asset classes, sectors, and regions as well as long/short absolute return alpha research within an asset class
You will follow, digest and analyze the latest academic research
You will manage all aspects of the research process, including idea generation, data collection and analysis, hypothesis development and testing, back-testing, portfolio analysis, and implementation
You will provide other research and organizational support as needed
What you will bring:
Top tier academic credentials in finance, economics, mathematics, and statistics (Graduate degree required, Ph.D. preferred)
2-5 years of experience in quantitative research and implementation in a multi-asset allocation, global macro, or equity investment group. Proven experience in linking macroeconomic and fundamental data with financial data in modeling asset prices
Strong knowledge of modern financial economic theory: asset pricing, portfolio theory, factor risk models, macroeconomics, econometric and statistical models, and familiarity with derivative pricing models
Programming in MATLAB or Python and working knowledge of SQL
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Ability to solve problems in a creatively and deliver high quality results in a timely fashion
Ability to effectively communicate ideas to both internal and external audience

Knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and natural language processing
Flexibility on research topics and priorities
Ph.D. in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics or related discipline

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The base salary range for this role is from $150,000 to $190,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
