Bausch Health Manager, Accounting in Newark, New Jersey

This position is an integral part of the US Finance function supporting the oversight of SOX controls and corporate operations, such as, treasury, legal, facilities, human resources, and risk management. The successful incumbent will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions, including monthly close activities, as well as assurances over the internal control environment and a variety of special projects.

Core Responsibilities

Independent oversight the following areas:

  • Overall US month end close calendar, checklist, and transmission

  • Accounting and reporting related to accrued liabilities, prepaid expense, cash, payroll, leased assets, and restructuring

  • SOX 404 control testing and documentation

  • Balance sheet account reconciliations

  • Balance sheet account roll forwards, including variance analysis and explanations

  • Variance commentary of the monthly actuals review

  • Support internal and external SOX 404 audit requests and compliance requirements

  • Restructuring accounting

Other Responsibilities

  • Lead departmental, functional, and corporate initiatives

  • Drive the application of GAAP to new transactions

  • Manage cooperative relationships with relevant internal and external parties

  • As departmental workloads change, additional responsibilities may be required

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in accounting

  • Required: Advanced MS Excel / MS Office

  • Preferred: CPA, MBA and/or public accounting experience

  • Preferred: Experience with HFM/SAP

  • Preferred: 10+ years of experience with similar responsibilities in a $500M+ business
