The Chief Investment Office (CIO) is responsible for portfolio construction and asset/liability management on behalf of Prudentials insurance businesses. We are seeking a Quantitative Associate for derivatives Asset-Liability Management (Asset Modeling) group.
The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
What you can expect:
This role will be focused on hedging liabilities arising from the sale of insurance and annuity products, hedging currency risk. Under tutelage from senior staff, the associate will work closely with the hedging team as the front line for all derivatives valuation and analytics issues, serve as the liaison between trading, systems, operations, risk management, audit, quant-developers and other business partners.
Responsibilities include responding to inquiries on counterparty credit limits, ensuring accuracy of market data, monthly/quarterly reporting tasks, providing insight on valuation/analytics methodologies, supporting new trade types and analyzing potential hedging strategies. The Associate will initially focus on understanding existing methodologies and processes, potential opportunities to grow in a more experienced senior quant role able to independently handle all quantitative/modeling driven analysis and tasks.
What youll need:
MBA or Master's in financial engineering, mathematics, computer science, statistics, or other quantitative fields, consideration given to those with Bachelors degree and strong work experience or CFA.
Must have at least two years of related experience
Intermediate experience with Bloomberg, Python, familiarity with vanilla derivatives (equity options, total return swaps, interest rate swaps, cross-currency swaps, future) and
Knowledge of "the Greeks

The salary range for this role is from $135,000 - to $150,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
