Job Overview:
RWJ Barnabas Health is looking for a new Director of Behavioral Health Services. This position will be located in Newark, NJ at Newark Beth Israel.
Qualifications:
Required:
A minimum of three years post master s work experience in the provision of mental health services;
At least one year of post-master s supervisory experience in the mental health field, preferably with a minimum of two years;
Successful completion of the State of New Jersey, Division of Mental Health Services sponsored screener certification course and passage of the proficiency examination within six months of the date of hire
Preferred:
A Master s degree from an accredited institution in social work, psychology, nursing or a related field, MSW preferred;
Licensure: Current LCSW, or current LPC preferred,
May also hold Substance Abuse Counselor Certification;

The Director is responsible for assisting the Administrative Director of Behavioral Health Services in defining, planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating the philosophy and objectives for a designated area to ensure the optimal delivery of care and services to all patients in an environment that promotes professional development and continues to assure financial viability,
