Finance Control Management

Control Manager-Program - Governance & Reporting - Associate

Location: Newark, Delaware

Finance Control Management (FCM) is responsible for maintaining a strong and consistent control environment across Firmwide Finance, promoting early operational risk identification and assessment, effective design and evaluation of controls and sustainable solutions to mitigate operational risk. Responsibilities include:

  • Risk identification and assessment including ongoing monitoring of operational risk and the control environment

  • Control design and evaluation

  • Issue management

  • Governance and reporting including managing control committees and forums

The FCM Governance & Reporting team is responsible for developing and executing programs and initiatives that support Finance Control Management's objectives. Responsibilities include:

  • Producing and coordinating deliverables for Senior Management governance forums such as the Global Finance Control Committee, Firmwide Control Committee and Keys Forum

  • Managing Finance deliverables related to Conduct, Compliance and Operational Risk (CCOR) management such as lessons learned, quarterly conduct risk appetite, and the Financial Reporting and Accounting risk quarterly operational risk appetite

  • Leading Office of the CFO (OCFO) implementation of key control firmwide initiatives such as the Intelligent Solutions and User Tools Control Standards

This role will be responsible for supporting the production and coordination of Finance deliverables for Senior Management governance forums and CCOR management; including the following:

  • Assist in the preparation of materials used for Senior Management governance forums and CCOR deliverables; including the collection and review of firmwide finance risks, issues and metrics

  • Coordinate deliverable review meetings with FCM leadership

  • Drive action items to completion

  • Help facilitate the root cause analysis and compliance, conduct and operational risk lessons learned process

  • Help manage compliance with applicable policies and regulatory requirements; including oversight of Finance Committees and regulatory commitments

  • Participate in corresponding firmwide forums for control management and CCOR-related responsibilities

The role will report to the FCM Governance & Reporting lead and will provide exposure to stakeholders across Corporate and Line of Business Finance.
