A national leading building materials manufacturer is looking for a Production Supervisor to join their team near Newark, California. This company has 60 manufacturing facilities with over 6,300 employees throughout North America. The Production Supervisor will manage, monitor and direct the activities of all assigned production line crews to efficiently produce quality products. This will be a 2nd Shift position.
The starting salary is commensurate with experience up to $100K plus a performance bonus and great health/retirement benefits.

Perform shift audits, observe work, and monitor to ensure production or processing standard performance. Assist in troubleshooting and problem solving.
Lead weekly crew meetings
Enforce adherence to EHS Systems by hourly workforce, lead by example
Participate in Incident & Near Miss Investigations
Participation in development and review of JSA/SOP's
Manage time records, attendance reporting & disciplinary reporting of line personnel
Must be able to counsel effectively; utilize progressive discipline, taking corrective actions when warranted for crewmembers.
Plan personnel schedules
Process production reporting, including product output, run rates, waste, downtime, etc.
Provide supervision & liaison with project managers to external contractors on site
Manage departmental costs through material usage, waste elimination & labor and participation in cost savings projects
First line support of production operators & maintenance to eliminate/minimize machine failure
Audit Quality checks performed by line personnel
Report all EH&S incidents - Injuries/Recordables, Near Misses, First Aid, Environmental and Property/Equipment Damage.
Ensure adherence to Waste Management and Recycling responsibilities.
Participate in Incident & Near Miss Investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions.
Participate in the development, understanding and review of all position JSA and SOP's
Conduct weekly SMAT Audits.
Management of corporate standards throughout department and plant
Involvement in departmental continuous improvement projects, 5S, Remodel Areas, Cost Savings, Safety, etc.
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
Experience level: Experienced
Minimum 3 years of experience
Education: Bachelors (required)
