New York University Postdoctoral Associate- Experimental Economics in New York
The Center for Experimental Social Science will have an opening for one Postdoctoral Associate starting September 2025 for a period of three years. Applications will be reviewed beginning February 2025; applications will be accepted until position is filled.
The position provides an outstanding opportunity for independent research as well as opportunities for collaboration with NYU faculty and graduate students. Postdoctoral Associates are expected to participate actively in the intellectual activities of NYU and CESS. In addition to conducting independent research, some fraction of the researcher’s time will be devoted to running CESS’s experimental lab, helping graduate students conduct their research, making sure the lab is in top operating condition, monitoring our recruitment software and interacting with the university’s IRB (Human Subjects) committee. It is expected that these activities will 45% of the researcher’s time, leaving 55% available for research. A research budget will be provided.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $62,500 - $105,000, depending on qualifications. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.

Primary criteria are applicant's research and interest/experience in Experimental Economics.
Proof of Ph.D. completion before starting date is required.
