New York University BITS Lab - Assistant Research Scientist (Part-Time) in New York

Position Description

This is a part-time position for a research assistant to support an internally funded study of speech perception and production in the Biofeedback Intervention Technology for Speech (BITS) Lab, with a focus on assisting with collection and processing of ultrasound tongue image data. The research assistant will contribute to setup, data collection/entry, and file saving/wrap-up, as well as post-processing and measurement of audio and ultrasound files resulting from experimental data collection. This position is a hybrid position.

Hours

Estimated 8 hours per week, with flexible scheduling.

End Date

August 2, 2024

Compensation

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the hourly salary range for this position is $18 - $25 per hour. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.

Completed undergraduate degree in speech-language pathology, linguistics, cognitive science, or computer science/engineering. Previous experience processing acoustic and ultrasound speech data.
