About the Role/Position:

Dow Jones Global Real Estate & Workplace Evolution (GRE & WE) creates and maintains an inspiring office portfolio of engaging, effective, and evolving employee experiences and workplace offerings for Dow Jones. You will be responsible for supporting the Global Project Delivery and Workplace Strategy Manager at Dow Jones.

Location: New York based (Hybrid)

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

You will focus on building physical office projects and staff relocations among Dow Jones and News Corp companies at our headquarters office in midtown Manhattan, while also supporting other areas of the global portfolio as needed. The Workplace Project Manager is the point of contact for all Dow Jones move management activities, and ensures all move management activities are performed in a manner consistent with our client's and Company's procedures. You will be accountable for coordinating with internal and external partners, managing vendors, and developing and executing scopes of work for all of our Workplace Projects. You will also work in alignment with GRE & WE Regional Leads, as well as News Corp to ensure enterprise excellence and consistent best practices.

You Will:

  • Report to the Sr Manager, Project Delivery & Workplace Strategy

  • Oversee concurrent delivery of multiple projects ranging from small cosmetic refreshes to large department moves. Responsibility includes ensuring each project is scoped, including budget, and is delivered on time and within budget.

  • Work with user groups, our internal clients, to help identify space planning needs and provide space alternatives when needed. Meet with them to gather information necessary to completing projects, give updates and manage expectations.

  • Be the Workplace Team representative and main point of contact for all aspects of user group moves.

  • Work independently with vendors and other third-party providers on relocation and move-related matters.

  • Organize the removal of old furniture and the delivery of new items.

  • Provide budget input on occupancy costs and capital projects.

  • Develop scope of work documents and review price quotes for BAU operations specific to Workplace changes.

  • Review and resolve new and outstanding requests within the YourWorkplace email inbox.

  • Administer and update iOffice, our computer-aided facility management tool.

  • Work with user groups to conduct space need discovery sessions, identify space planning needs, translated into real estate footprint requirements.

  • Research and develop furniture specifications for projects, supply furniture dealers with plans and specifications, handle procurement of goods, track deliveries and schedule furniture installation.

  • Evaluate capacity, vacancy ratios, and space allocations, to accurately track organizational space needs.

  • Provide reports on workplace use and occupancy.

  • Be the calendar administrator for the Workplace Design team and reserve rooms for project work, events, and executive requests.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of corporate environment project management experience.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent field experience.

  • Experience in workplace strategy, project management, and working with various external A&D, Project & Construction Management, and Facilities supply chain partners to deliver an effective and engaging workplace experience.

  • Experience working in a corporate setting, with the curiosity to understand a company with a broad variety of business units with differing office space and hybrid workplace needs.

  • Terrific interpersonal skills and an enthusiastic personality, to aid in managing customer relationships across a global portfolio of office locations.

  • Facilities management knowledge
