ABOUT LOVESHACKFANCY

LoveShackFancy began in 2013 with a beach-to-ballroom hand-dyed halter dress that founder and creative director Rebecca Hessel Cohen made for her bridal party. Over time, that one article of clothing, created to celebrate love, has turned into a world filled with all things romantic, dreamy and drenched in optimism — from clothing to tabletop, bedding, swim, ski, travel accessories, shoes and more.

ROLE OVERVIEW

LoveShackFancy is looking for students pursuing a sales internship with hands-on business training experience for the Fall 2024 Semester. The student will learn the company’s objectives, environment, techniques, and strategies that the sales team uses on a daily basis.

Understanding of and interest in the ready-to-wear market! Organization and accuracy are essential to the overall success and understanding of the wholesale department. We encourage a positive attitude and strive to create a welcoming environment to learn these skills. This is a great opportunity for students in college to gain both school credit and a deeper knowledge of the inner workings of a sales team in the fashion industry.

This internship is an unpaid role, and the candidate MUST receive academic college credit as a requirement.Must be NYC based.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities: He/she will be responsible for observing the wholesale team in each of their respective roles. Sales interns will often shadow the team during their day-to-day routine as well as throughout a busy market schedule.

· Assist with market preparation and execution

· Merchandise and maintain the showroom during market

· Shadow sales executives and style models during market appointments

· Assist with the order entry process by entering and checking orders

· Learn about inventory management using RLM and Excel

· Send and track samples for department store e-commerce and editorial shoots

· Merchandise department stores around New York City (Bloomingdales, Saks, Bergdorf Goodman)

· Assist with entering return authorizations and update shipping logs for wholesale accounts

· Create Product Knowledge decks for wholesale accounts

· Conduct market research for potential new accounts

· Assisting with weekly selling reporting in Excel

· Work collaboratively with other departments

SKILLS, QUALITIES AND BEHAVIOURS

· Currently enrolled in college or university

· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Joor knowledge is a plus.

· Knowledge and interest in LoveShackFancy with an understanding of brand and aesthetic

· Strong communication and organizational skills

· Demonstrated teamwork capabilities

· Solution-oriented and hands-on

· Analytical mindset
