The anticipated salary range for this role is between $134,000.00 and $195,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

Role Description

As part of a data and voice network team supporting combined trading and banking entities of SMBC Americas Division, we are seeking a team lead for our Voice Engineering group. The successful candidate will have the technical and business knowledge to deliver uninterrupted business operation of voice communications and interact with teams providing unified communication platforms to the organization. Responsibilities include the design, implementation, management and ongoing maintenance of all aspects of trader and non-trader voice systems, voice recording infrastructure, management of telecom services and interacting with groups providing voice related services. As a team lead you will be responsible for a team of engineers and take ownership of project delivery across the team. Main areas of expertise include voice, video, automation, API call scripting, collaboration tools, network infrastructure and logistics.

Role Objectives

· Manage voice communication team

· Provide 2nd level support on projects, daily voice and video issues reported by user support desk

· Work on assigned voice/video and network infrastructure projects

· Develop automation scripts within Unified Communication system

· Provide support during system installations, upgrades and maintenance across all sites

· Provide support to other Systems Infrastructure teams during project implementation

· Create KPI, KRI, EOL, EOS metrics for Unified infrastructure systems

· Maintain inventory of network and telecom devices and services utilizing established tooling

· Work on internal and external responses and remediations

Qualifications and Skills

· 7 - 5 years experience

· Candidate should have team lead experience

· Candidate should have strong technical and hands-on knowledge on Cisco Unified voice communication infrastructure and skills to support, troubleshoot, configure, and install systems such as Call Manager, voice and video endpoints, voice gateway routers, PSTN access and collaboration tools and endpoints

· Candidate should have intermediate technical scripting skills to write automation against Cisco Unified communication components, utilizing tools such as python, Postman, API Calls, Website development, Ansible, Terraform

· Candidate should have previous experience working in network infrastructure areas with trading floor voice and recording systems

· Capability of performing and complete tasks and projects management

· Extensive knowledge in support mixed voice, video and data networks

· Knowledge of routing protocols OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, NAT, LACP, CDP, UDLD, VPC, DNS, DHCP

· Knowledge on troubleshooting networking issues OSI layers 1-7 across voice, video networks

· Knowledge on network management platforms: Solarwinds

Late night and weekend work will be required. Comp time (Time or another day off) will be given in lieu of late night and weekend work.
