The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Clinical Assessor I will be trained to assist with clinical research which may include administration of structured clinical assessments (e.g., CYBOCS), supervised delivery of 2 exposure sessions for anxiety (e.g. specific phobia), or both. They will work closely with pediatric anxiety expert Dr. Fitzgerald to ensure consistent administration of structured psychiatric interviews. This position is part-time for up to approximately 204 hours per year or approximately 4 hours per week. The position involves up to 12 ADIS interviews (delivered remotely) per quarter; interviews occur over 2 hours and are clustered during the 2 weeks pre- and post-intervention. Training will take place in the context of the initial three interviews (with Dr. Fitzgerald) and in several 1-hour follow-up consensus diagnosis meetings. Approximately 3 additional hours per quarter will be spent on maintenance of inter-rater reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Following research protocols, administer up to 12 two-hour supervised diagnostic assessments per quarter for research protocols.
  • Actively engage in quality assurance meetings with other clinical assessors to ensure inter-rate reliability.
  • Maintain case records and notes per operational guidelines.
  • Regularly participate in training with Dr. Fitzgerald to stay up-to-date with proper administration of diagnostic assessments.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.

Other Requirements

  • Must successfully complete all online systems training requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of training in a Master's program for social work, psychology, or related degree.
  • At least 3 years of experience conducting clinical research in youth with anxiety and/or obsessive-compulsive disorders.
