Under direct supervision with limited latitude for independent judgment, performs labor in support of the maintenance of the Institute’s buildings and grounds.
Position Duties:
Maintain and clean office equipment, floors, walls, rugs, stairwells, lounges, bathrooms, lobbies, elevators and locker and storage facilities.
Mop, sweep, wash tiles and wall surfaces; remove trash and snow; apply cleaning agents.
Move furniture and equipment as needed or directed.
Maintain the safety and cleanliness of all exterior and interior walkways in assigned areas by sweeping, moping or with shovels, ice melting chemicals, etc.
Maintain cleaning equipment; oil, lubricate, clean and ensure equipment is in safe operating condition.
Maintain cleaning logs and inventory for supplies, hardware and equipment.
Report any visible damage, malfunctions, and accidents involving the Institute's equipment or property to the supervisor.
Serve as relief truck driver or truck assistant to pick up and deliver packages, furniture, and equipment.
Perform all other related duties as assigned.
