Position Summary A Technician B position is available in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology to in a dynamic interactive laboratory studying RNA and DNA diversity in the immune system. Responsibilities Duties include maintaining mouse colonies for the laboratory, working with laboratory personnel to process mouse and cell line samples for immunological assays, cell culture, and molecular biology techniques including transcriptome profiling, and participating in cutting edge research. In addition to mouse colony record keeping and experimental support, other duties are lab organization, reagent preparation and reagent ordering. Qualified applicants for this position will have a BS or MS degree in biology, or related science or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Some experience in maintaining animal colonies or other lab research will be considered as positive. Most work will be conducted during regular business hours however due to the nature of this research some flexibility is possible/desired. Minimum Qualifications Requires a bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, physics or related experience or equivalent in education, training and experience. Preferred Qualifications Basic knowledge of molecular biology or immunology from coursework or equivalent research experience.
