The Expeditor is responsible for filing job applications to obtain work permits, filing certificates, attending violation hearings, filing reports and applications.Essential FunctionsPrepare standard form contracts for construction projects (training will be provided)Perform all aspects of bidding for construction projects including online bidding software (training will be provided)Interprets permit applications and drawings.Recommends documents needed for permits.Explains building codes.Files job applications to obtain work permits.Files certificates of Correction for DOB and ECB violations.Attends violations hearings.Files FISP reports and applications.Schedules meetings, follows up on pending documentation, compliance related issues pertaining to the client jobs.Proofreads, formats, and edits letters, reports, and all other correspondence as needed.Responsible for timely distribution of documents needed for permits, certifications pertaining to the job. Assists with filing and maintaining organized records, files, drawings, or other data essential to the project.Assists with office support as needed.Works closely with teams to understand the scope of work, budget, goals, deliverables, and timeline to ensure project success.Organizes field data to facilitate analysis and problem solving.Participates in administrative staff meetings.Performs other related duties as assigned.EducationBachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or relevant work experience.Work ExperienceOne to two years of experience, and/ or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Licenses & CertificationsNY Department of Buildings Filing Representative license required.Estimated salary range for this position is $75,000.00 to $95,000.00.The salary listed is an estimate and not guaranteed.
