Organization Overview: The Goddard Riverside Community Center (Goddard Riverside) and the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) are well-established Manhattan community-based agencies that support services to approximately 30,000 New Yorkers. We are two of New York City’s leading human services organizations meeting the needs of children, youth and families, homeless individuals, and older adults through-out Manhattan and New York City. The Isaacs Center focuses primarily on the needs of children and low-income families, out-of-school and out-of-work youth, and aging New Yorkers. Purpose of Position: The Talent Acquisition Manager responsible for overseeing Goddard Riverside’s recruitment lifecycle and plays a pivotal role in ensuring that Goddard Riverside attracts and hires exceptional talent. This position will support hiring managers in developing job descriptions and postings that are detailed and legally compliant and will work to order to attract and hire the best qualified candidate in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
Schedule:Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (some weekend hours may be required for job fairs or community events).
Salary Range:$70,000 - $80,000
Candidates must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position. The salary offer will be based on the candidate’s number of years experience in the exact or comparable position and additional preferred qualifications will be taken into account.
Roles, Responsibilities, and Essential Duties
Supervision and Management
Responsible for the supervision of the Talent Acquisition Assistant including task supervision, regular feedback and coaching, professional development and performance evaluations.
Manage the recruitment lifecycle and provide support to hiring managers
Collaborate with hiring managers and other key staff to update job descriptions ensuring continued legal, program and funder compliance
Work to ensure that hiring managers follow legal guidelines when interviewing candidates
Manage Applicant Tracking System including building online application questions for new jobs, ensuring positions are posted accurately and applications have been completed
Oversee all preemployment activities for potential new hires, which may include reference checks and agency and required background checks
Manage communication between candidates and organization – updates all parties
Organize and provide receipts for HR credit card charges associated with job postings, background checks, etc. to programs responsible for entering into Intacct.
Recruitment and Hiring
Seek out and recommend new and creative ideas to proactively attract and recruit candidates through job postings, social media posts, career fairs, professional associations, local college/university recruitment, workforce development partners and other advertising methods
Create and fosters relationships with educational institutions (e.g. local schools of social work), diverse professional organizations/associations to attract and recruit alumni and reach diverse candidates
Develop and maintain a network of contacts, including online recruiting resources and staffing firms who facilitate both temporary and permanent placements
Evaluate and recommend vendors for hiring resources to HR team and ensure effective services are being provided by vendors assisting with talent acquisition process
Collaborate with HR Department and hiring managers to design increasingly efficient workflow strategies for talent acquisition process
Work with Chief Human Resources Officer and compensation consultant to administer the organization’s compensation system: including evaluating candidates to determine salary offers based on candidate’s experience and qualifications
Draft all offer letters and create hiring packet for Chief Human Resource Officer’s review and signature.
Ensure compliance with hiring policies and procedures.
Collaborate with HR and hiring managers to ensure all steps of the onboarding process are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Meet with new hires to collect all necessary hiring documentation.
Onboard new employees to the payroll system, Paycom, ensuring accurate data entry for seamless payroll processing.
Coordinate with IT to create new hire email credentials.
Collaborate with HR and hiring managers to ensure all steps of the onboarding process are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Work with HRIS Coordinator to prepare regular reports related to vacancies, turnover rates and key HR hiring metrics
Events
Work with key stakeholders across the organization to organize and coordinate quarterly job fairs and to participate in external job fairs
Coordinate quarterly job fairs at key locations around the organizations and in the communities we serve
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree required
Minimum 2 years HR experience with focus on recruiting and hiring
Human Resources certification a plus
Non-profit experience required
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally to the agency
Demonstrated experience participating in recruitment and onboarding process
Excellent understanding of recruiting processes, employment law

Computer Skills Needed
Prior experience working with Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Paycom a plus
Prior experience working with an accounting software, Sage/Intaact a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Suite, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel including using basic formulas.
