Description We are seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team in New York. This role is essential to our operations, with a focus on configuring, maintaining, and upgrading our VMWare private cloud infrastructure and Linux and Windows virtual servers. Additionally, the Systems Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading our network and cybersecurity infrastructure, monitoring database performance, and providing support for a variety of enterprise applications.

Responsibilities:

• Configure, maintain, and upgrade the VMWare private cloud infrastructure and Linux and Windows virtual servers.

• Manage the organization's Disaster Recovery plan, ensuring RPO and RTO are achieved.

• Monitor and manage storage devices and database performance.

• Support enterprise-wide work initiatives and projects.

• Provide Infrastructure Support for multiple developed systems and applications of medium to high complexity.

• Provide support for enterprise applications such as Alfresco, Confluence, SharePoint, and custom developed web applications.

• Deploy and manage security SSL Certificates, MFA Infrastructure, and 802.1X.

• Support and comply with the organization's Information Security Management System.

• Recommend improvements that increase system security, reliability, and performance.

• Provide support for business-critical applications. Requirements • Proficiency in VMware is necessary for managing virtual environments within the organization.

• Profound understanding of Windows Server 2019 for managing server infrastructure.

• Demonstrated experience in Disaster Recovery planning and implementation to ensure business continuity.

• Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve system issues effectively.

• Strong communication skills to liaise with various teams and stakeholders.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.

• Familiarity with system security measures and protocols to safeguard company data.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Relevant certification or degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field would be advantageous.

• A solid understanding of networking concepts, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, and VPNs.

• Experience with system performance monitoring and optimization techniques.
