The Role at NFP
This Senior Vice President / Account Executive will work within the financial institutions group reporting to the Managing Director of the group. Their general responsibilities will include working with the team to service an existing book of business with clients that include banks, (re)insurance companies, and investment management firms. Program placements will include the suite of financial lines, loan portfolio risk products, and general property and casualty. The SVP is expected to be able to manage all aspects of our client service proposition, aligning with our clients on their specific strategies and needs in the insurance markets, and managing the available resources, product experts, and the technology platform used to service our portfolio of financial institution clients.
This is national role with client relationships and accounts throughout the country. You will be joining a tenured team of recognized industry experts that are known for their ability to deliver high-end, professional and technically strong advisory services to clients across the financial institution industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Must be detail oriented, able to work in smaller breakout teams well, in a fast paced environment, with attention to detail.
Must be able to travel and entertain key client relationships
Maintain all existing client relationships between NFP /Financial Institutions Group and clients, with a focus on growth (e.g., increasing amount or type of coverage, and/or products and services, for existing accounts) and retention.
Keep up to date on all account issues, industry and market trends and help develop growth strategy for targeted existing accounts to expand the book of business, when appropriate.
Offer technical advice and make informed recommendations leveraging product expertise, a comprehensive review of account needs and risks and colleagues with various appropriate specialties.
Work to ensure conditions, coverage and pricing are advantageous for the Company and the relationship with the outlook to institutionalize accounts and uphold business and compliance standards when representing the firm while offering customized solutions and completing proposal work.
Develop the project plan for the overall sales process for account work and monitors progress ensuring timeframes are effectively planned and high-quality products or solutions successfully delivered.
Responsible for maintaining and preserving relationships and ensuring overall service needs are met, addressing escalated issues and miscellaneous concerns to remain in positive standing and preserve credibility.
Maintain strong relationships with senior level professional counterparts in client organizations.
Attend and participate frequently in industry events and conferences to build up a strong professional network, maintain proximity to the relevant market and represent the Company as a thought leader.
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities
Excellent written communication skills – writes clearly; edits work for spelling and grammar; varies writing style to meet needs; presents numeric data effectively; able to read and interpret written information.
Self-confident to make sound independent decisions
Ability to successfully interact with a variety of people/personalities
Strong leadership skills
Must be able to read, analyze and reconcile financial reports
Must have basic power point presentation skills
Possess technical expertise plus good analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle situations in a calm, courteous and professional manner
Education and/or Experience
More than 10 years industry and product line experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registration
Property & Casualty Broker's License required
CPCU or other P&C designation preferred
