Citigroup Strategy Lead - Citi Global Wealth in New York, New York

The role of ‘Strategy Lead’ is critical to the success of the North American Global Wealth business. This role will be responsible for the ownership and management of several strategic projects and analyses related to the growth and design or our Global Wealth organization.

The position will partner closely with all parts of the Private Bank including business heads, sales teams, business managers, product managers, and function owners.

Our choice candidate will be a detail oriented strategic thinker with a passion for solving complex problems, dealing with ambiguity, financial modeling, organizational design, and who possesses an unrelenting customer obsession and a strong desire to make their mark on the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an internal consultant and trusted advisor to senior leaders across the Global Wealth business

  • Partner with business and product heads to shape the strategic direction for our business

  • Identify and build the business case for growth opportunities supported by quantitative and qualitative analysis

  • Conduct market research and competitive analyses on the wealth management industry

  • Construct financial models and proposals used for making key business decisions

  • Lead large-scale strategic initiatives and projects

  • Collaborate with senior business leaders to create key management presentations for various audiences

  • Support and influence internal strategic planning and business development activities

Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required

  • MBA or Advanced Degree Preferred

  • 5 – 10 years of work experience. Wealth Management, Investment Banking, Strategy/Management Consulting, or FP&A experience preferred

  • Advanced competency in MS Excel and PowerPoint is required

  • Experience in building and maintaining financial models

  • Candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to operate independently and make decisions

  • Ability to build relationships and partner across a complex organization

  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple simultaneous projects

  • Ability to influence seniors and stakeholders outside of your span of control

  • Excellent time management, follow-through, and project delivery skills

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to simplify complexity
