Staff Associate IColumbia University Irving Medical Center, Division of Hematology and Oncology seek a Staff Associate I with automation experience for a position in the Viny Lab. Responsibilities would include translating and optimizing bench protocols to a Biomek i7 liquid handler. Participation in a specialized training course would be expected, regardless of experience. Applicants would provide support in various projects in the laboratory with the potential to overseeing a scientific project as determined jointly. In addition to the lab personnel, interactions and collaborations with academic and industry collaborators will be necessary. In addition, the position will require lab organizational upkeep, maintaining all lab protocols. The work will primarily be performed independently with direct reporting to the principal investigator, but extension into work requiring more supervision, training, and oversight may also be required where appropriate. In addition, the applicant will assist with administration duties for grant applications, ordering, and procurement reconciliation. Minimum Degree: Bachelor's DegreeMinimum Qualification: Minimum of 2 years experience with Masters degree or 4 years Bachelor's.
