Amazon’s Publisher Technology team is looking for an experienced Product Manager who will help to define the vision and strategy for some of the foundational supply side technical services. This role will manage, develop and maintain a resilient, scalable, and highly performant infrastructure that seamlessly integrates the disparate capabilities and data sources across Amazon’s supply side platform. This infrastructure, consisting of a Unified API Gateway, an Object Data Store, and an Event Bus, powers the end-to-end monetization workflows. The goal for this area is to establish and enforce robust security, compliance, and governance controls to protect critical assets and maintain stakeholder trust, and enable self-service development when possible, accelerating the delivery of new features and capabilities.

PubTech seeks a Product Manager to help us understand the needs of our customers, who build features and interact with data. This entails bringing a product mindset to inform API design, database solutions, standard features, and interfaces. You’ll prioritize ease of consumption and seek to increase the likelihood the suite of services provided this infrastructure can continue to provide strategic value and extensibility in the future. This role will support a critical component of PubTech’s strategic goals. You will be responsible for defining and executing the strategic vision for our Tech Spine within the platform. This role requires a deep understanding of how producers and consumers operate, along with a passion for delivering user-centric solutions.

Key job responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on our API and data needs, understanding customer pain points, requirements, and industry best practices

  • Define the long-term product strategy and roadmap for the APIs and operational data services within PubTech

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, stakeholders, and customers to translate business requirements into actionable product plans

  • Develop and communicate a comprehensive vision and strategy - aligning with business goals, compliance standards, and user experience principles.

  • Drive quick and strong consensus for customer-centric vision and strategy by engaging with internal stakeholders and expressing that strategy through bold product roadmaps, collaborating closely with product leaders and software engineers, and participating in all levels of the execution sequence to deliver key results

  • Develop strong value-based metrics and goals that guide the iterative learning and delivery model to validate solutions to the most important customer problems as they evolve over time.

  • Champion a user-centric approach to API development and lifecycle management, data management, interface design, conducting user research, and utilizing feedback to continuously improve and innovate Tech Spine-related features.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
