Shake Shack Sr. Operations Analyst in New York, New York

Job Summary

The Sr. Operations Analyst is responsible for identifying trends and creating plans to address financial opportunities as it relates to Shack financial performance. This person performs complex analysis around Labor, COGS, and OpEx spend and uses the data to help Operations and Finance prioritize projects and system/reporting enhancements. The Sr. Operations Analyst is the main point of contact for Ops leadership to ask questions and ad-hoc Shack analysis. They standup the monthly P&L review and Shack performance process, facilitate the creation and execution of action plans, and package this information for executive review.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

· Create and maintain recurring reporting to drive actionable insights to the Operations team

· Use data analytics and reporting to proactively find insights and work with operations to implement plans to enhance financial performance

· Execute and enhance the monthly Operations P&L review process

· Perform Detailed Labor, COGS, and Other OpEx Analysis to evaluate and recommend operational process and standards, sometimes requiring working in the restaurant to understand the operations

· Perform analysis across various formats, levels of sales volume, regions and other groups of Shacks to ensure financial optimization

· Perform Ad-Hoc analysis for Operations leadership (Regional Vice Presidents, COO)

· Partner with the Business Intelligence and Data teams to build out automated reporting and analytics for Operations and Finance teams

· Create Financial training resources

· Act as a liaison between Operations and Finance during the budget process to ensure accuracy and understanding

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

· Strong knowledge of MS Office Applications – especially Excel.

· Highly skilled with MS Excel and building dynamic financial models

· P&L Management Experience

· Functional understanding and knowledge of restaurant/retail operations procedures, and processes.

· Able to work independently with little direct supervision

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Well organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

· Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor based on audience and present confidently and cohesively

· Ability to partner with a range of cross functional partners some of whom will have little to no financial knowledge or training

· Understanding of current operational process and procedures and ability to prioritize and organize pain points that need to be addressed

Bachelor's Degree

Work Experience

3+ years

Related Experience

· Restaurant/retail operations experience

· Demonstrated project management and organizational capabilities; ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively with minimal supervision.

Pay Range - $98,860.00 - $126,060.00
