Yahoo Holdings Inc. seeks Sr Data Engineer - (AGLAGS) in New York, NY.Job Duties: Develop scalable data pipelines through automated processes; develop Python code to extract, transform and load data via Airflow into several data stores; debug, fix and enhance the existing ETL pipelines (extract, transform and load) comprising Oracle and Vertica databases and procedures; document user requirements and partner with experienced engineers to develop programmatic solutions; develop skills in application development and logic processing in order to develop analytical reporting; participate in code reviews and design discussions; understand the technical scope of how relational databases interact with distributed systems; design, code, test and deploy solutions based on user requirements; and apply SDLC (Software development life cycle) concepts such as development, testing and production of code for building data pipelines.Minimum Requirements: Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, and 2 years of experience in the job offered or as a Data Engineer, Data Engineer II, or in a related/similar position.Special Skills:Experience therein to include 2 years performing each of the following skills:•Data analytics;•Python;•Hadoop/Hive;•Git or equivalent version control system;•Building ETL (Extract, transform and load) pipelines and scalable applications;•SQL and relational databases;•Software development life cycle; and•Automation processes.Telecommute role, may work remotely from anywhere in the US.Salary: $150,750.00 - $251,250.00 per year.
