Job Description

Reporting into the Director - Business Management, the Sr. Business Manager is responsible for supporting business and financial operations and analysis for a product specialty track within a large, complex pharmaceutical client account. This is a client-facing role that will require a combination of business operations, project management, account management, and client relationship management skill within the broader framework of financial operations. In this role, you will serve as a business partner and work closely with client account leads, agency finance and account leads, and other CoLab stakeholders.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a hybrid position requiring onsite collaboration an average of 3 days/week. The role is based out of our New York City office located at 375 Hudson Street; all candidates must be local to the NYC metro area and willing to commute into that office on a regular basis.

Job Responsibilities

  • Review estimates

  • Review Statements of Work

  • High level cost assumptions

  • High level review of spend data

  • Internal forecast

  • Reconciliation of forecast to staff plan

  • Corporate Rolling Forecast

  • Client forecast updates

  • Client accruals

  • Client PO management

  • Client budget reporting

  • Ongoing review of overall budgets

  • Weekly/bi-weekly budget reconciliation meeting management

  • Review/approval of time transfers

  • Approval of vendor POs

  • Adds strategic contribution beyond the account’s tactics

  • Participates in client planning process

  • Expert on the ins and outs of assigned clients

  • Works directly with partners internally (Finance, Account, Production)

  • Works directly with client counterparts and procurement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 3-5 year of progressive growth within a professional environment

  • Runs at least one large account or a portfolio of small accounts autonomously

  • Runs large projects or a small portfolio of clients/projects independently

  • Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc.

  • Understanding of data analysis

  • Strong organizational understanding

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to build Integrity and Trust with clients and internal partners

  • Exhibits Self Development

Compensation Range: $70,000 - $117,500 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
