Required Skills:

Software Engineer Responsibilities:

1. Help build the next generation of systems behind Meta's products.

2. Create web and/or mobile applications.

3. Build high-volume servers to support content.

4. Build highly scalable performant solutions.

5. Develop knowledge of algorithms while relying on core computer science concepts.

6. Utilize ability to apply solutions to production problems and contribute to architectural decisions.

7. Employ specialty knowledge of data processing, programming languages, databases, networking, and operating systems.

8. Utilize knowledge of data base management system software, development environment software, object oriented development software, program testing software, operating system software, and various programming languages.

9. Utilize knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications and programming, systems architecture, networking and storage.

10. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field. Foreign equivalent accepted. Requires completion of an undergraduate-level course, research project, or internship involving:

16. Multithreading programming and mobile memory management

17. Linux, UNIX, or other *nix-like OS as evidenced by file manipulation, advanced commands, and shell scripting

20. Browser APIs and optimizing front end performance of web-based applications

21. Building mobile and desktop web applications using JavaScript, including asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES6.

Public Compensation:

$182,608/year to $200,200/year + bonus + equity + benefits
