Location:530 7th Ave., Floor M1, New York, NY 10018Position Title:Software Development Engineer II Job Description: Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and deliver high-availability and performance. Design REST based API for backend services. Design, build, and deploy analytics services. Evaluate open source tools and frameworks. Own the design and implementation of significant portions of product development and serve as a mentor for other engineers on the team. Help set the features, architecture, and best practices of the team. Create a reliable, scalable, and high-performance service displaying technical expertise and practical experience building large-scale distributed systems. Position is out of a fixed location with ability to telecommute 100% of the time.Job Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a directly related field plus three (3) years of experience as a Software Development Engineer or related occupation performing software development engineering (SDE). Experience must include:Two (2) years of experience with the following (may be gained concurrently): •Java•Data Structure and algorithm design•Elasticsearch, DynamoDB, or PostgresSQL•Building REST APIs using Spring MVC•Maven and Git•Integrating with third party APIsOne (1) year of experience with the following (may be gained concurrently)•Kafka•Linux40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm.
