Kyndryl Inc Senior Storage Administrator Lead in New York, New York
Senior Storage Administrator Lead, Kyndryl Inc, New York, NY and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US (Up to 50% telecommuting permitted): Lead team, validate storage support for client, verify change details and oversee workload. Control infrastructure performance in areas of response, throughput, and availability. Troubleshoot and control performance issues and analyze data to identify server or application bottlenecks. Architect SAN solutions. Make technical recommendations on system software configuration, hardware configuration, user policies, security procedures and administration procedures. Troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and provide solutions to hardware/software problems. Lead technical evaluation of SAN/Storage environment and communicating problem points. Design, develop, deploy, implement, and support automation tools to monitor, manage and provision storage devices. Perform engineering and/or complex tasks relating to all storage areas, including software/hardware installation and configuration, problem resolution and performance tuning. Oversee datacenter migration‐ relocating hardware from one datacenter to a new one, including migrating confidential information from one‐storage hardware to offsite location, wiping data on current hardware, and overseeing packaging of equipment and shipment. Utilize: IBM Global Mirror Native IP/Metro Mirror Replication, IBM Flashcopy Data Migration, Dell EMC SRDF/Timefinder Replication, Brocade SAN Switch (INA, Webtools), Dell EMC Storage Systems, IBM Storage Systems, ServiceNow/ITIL. Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology or related (employer will accept an Associate’s degree plus two (2) years of IT experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree) and two (2) years of experience as a Storage Team Lead and SME or related. Two (2) years of experience must include utilizing IBM Global Mirror Native IP/Metro Mirror Replication, IBM Flashcopy Data Migration, Dell EMC SRDF/Timefinder Replication, Brocade SAN Switch (INA, Webtools), Dell EMC Storage Systems, IBM Storage Systems, ServiceNow/ITIL. $72,780.00 to $86,520.00 per year.
