Noom, Inc. Senior Software Development Engineer in New York, New York

JOB: Noom, Inc. seeks Senior Software Development Engineer in Test in New York, NY, to build a foundation for UI automation for our web applications. Build and operationalize a continuously growing library of automated tests to monitor and improve quality across the company’s web products, which are used by hundreds of thousands of users every day. Work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to ensure that test coverage is provided for key features and product changes before we release them to our coaches and users. Work on improving post-launch quality by digging into bug reports and helping to ensure that we focus our attention on the highest-impact issues affecting our users.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation: designing and implementing robust and scalable UI automation frameworks from scratch; selecting appropriate tools and technologies for building frameworks to ensure efficient test execution and maintenance; writing well-structured, maintainable, and reusable codes for test automation scripts and frameworks; working with programming concepts including object-oriented design and design patterns; creating automated tests for web applications using any combination of tools including Selenium, Cypress, and Puppeteer; simulating user interactions, performing validations, and handling dynamic web elements effectively; utilizing CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests into the deployment process; utilizing any combination of tools including Jenkins, Travis CI, and GitLab CI to automate test execution and report generation upon code changes; developing and maintaining comprehensive test suites that cover critical user flows and features; assessing test coverage and identify gaps for Quality Metrics and Reporting; generating detailed test reports and metrics to provide insights into product quality and areas for improvement; and analyzing bug reports, identifying root causes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to prioritize and resolve issues. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $169,229 and $178,260 per year. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting is based on Noom’s estimate as of the date of publication and reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position across all US locations. The actual placement of the candidate within the range is based on factors including but not limited to relevant experience, assessment of functional skills and behavioral competencies, scope, and location.
