WSP USA Senior Project Controls Specialist/Prequalification Analyst in New York, New York

This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Project Controls Specialist / Prequalification Analyst for our NEW YORK office. Be involved in projects with our Project Controls & Technology Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact

Job Duties:

  • Work under the direction of the Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and evaluation of project financial reporting.

  • Develop and maintain strong back-office support operations in the construction industry in the areas of business management, Finance/Accounting, Project Administrative Technology, Business Coaching Services, Executive Level Reporting.

  • Review financial records related to record keeping, subcontractor/supplier, invoicing, certified payrolls, etc.

  • Provide business coaching services to assist contractors in remedying specific weaknesses and/or seek advice on business development.

  • Create, update and provide executive level summary reporting assessing business growth, including KPIs.

  • Implement integrated project controls methodologies to effectively align cost and schedule management efforts.

  • Communicate project status, cost performance, and schedule updates to stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making.

  • Attend a variety of project meetings with project stakeholders to track and solve cost and schedule management issues.

  • Review funding availability and procurement documentation to ensure conformance to approved project budgets.

  • Manage change order processes and evaluations to assess the impact of proposed changes on project costs and schedules.

  • Participate in development of project estimates, budgets, forecasts, estimates to complete, and cost trends.

  • Manage client relationships.

Who You Are

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS Business, Finance, or Accounting, Engineering.

  • 10 years of experience in Financial Controls

  • Must have the ability to work onsite 5 days per week.

  • Proficiency in cost control/cost management methods and applications.

  • Ability to interface with clients and participate in business development initiatives.

  • Excellent communication skills, written, oral and interpersonal skills.

  • Transportation, Highway and Construction industry experience preferred

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills

  • Confident self-starter with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment.

  • Attention to detail and organization while working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to build and sustain relationships with team members, contractors, and clients.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, & PowerPoint, Adobe Design and Publisher.

Compensation:

Expected Salary (all locations): $133,900-160,100/year

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
