Purpose and Objective:

SAP America, Inc seeks a Senior Portfolio Marketing Specialist at our New York, NY location to develop suitable strategy, messaging, and positioning to support respective business and achieve pipeline objectives for our cloud-based procurement solutions and innovations.

Expectations and Tasks:

Act as expert and is recognized as thought leader and evangelist inside SAP, influencing internal solution innovations, core marketing strategies, and external company perception. Possess a high degree of understanding of the market economics, whitespace, competition, and opportunities. Act as subject matter expert, and work with stakeholders to define the positioning, and messaging that will be integrated into marketing programs and campaigns. Develop certain customer facing and internal assets and ensure respective roll-out and availability to marketing program managers and execution teams. Come up with new ideas to increase our digital footprint through blogs, social media and other channels. Ensure content is distributed internally as well as externally. Train sales teams on messaging and positioning of new and existing solutions. Strategize and plan content for hosted customer events such as SAPPHIRE, SAP Ariba Live. Recruit customers to share success stories, and develop customer reference assets. Provide expert contributions to Integrated Marketing Management on program build through messaging, positioning, content, and respective solution/industry expertise. Work with stakeholders across Marketing, Sales and Product groups to define and execute the campaign tactics. Independently assess, analyze, and evaluate messages and market reactions (i.e. via social media channels) to optimize marketing strategies and influence communication. 10% travel required.

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field of study and 6 years of experience required. The company will also accept a Master's degree and 4 years of experience. Will accept pre-bachelors degree experience.

Work Experience:

Experience must involve 3 years in the following: Strategic development and execution of target audience identification to access new audiences, target the install-base, gain competitive advantages and influence product direction; Craft compelling value matrices for product positioning, messaging and asset production to align with and support cross-functional teams, marketing programs, product launches, campaigns and sales; Digital marketing strategy expertise to increase digital footprint and engagement on owned and third-party channels and platforms; Develop online campaign strategies to drive market awareness, adoption and engagement of product or solution; Utilize subject matter expertise to create/guide integrated marketing programs that align content, campaigns, and offerings to customer needs and business outcomes; Digital design and production skills with Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects) to produce marketing collateral, product videos, social assets; and Cultivate strong customer relationships and engagement to build reference pipeline and success stories for use in marketing assets as well as at tier-1 events. 10% travel required.
