Job Description

Senior Physical Therapist – Inpatient Acute Care

A captivating chance is waiting for you at MSK. We are seeking a licensedSenior Physical Therapistto join our outstanding team of rehabilitation professionals. At MSK, we offer world class training within our rehabilitation service focusing on opportunities to develop innovative, therapeutic programs for a diverse patient population. We are looking for an individual passionate about patient-centered treatment, teamwork, and best practice which results in an exceptional patient experience. Role Overview:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and reassessments of rehabilitative needs. Based on assessment findings, develop individualized patient goals and treatment plans.

• Provide highly skilled physical therapy to adult and pediatric patients in an oncology setting utilizing evidenced-based therapeutic interventions to maximize patient outcomes.

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team members, including the patient and their family, to ensure the highest level of clinical services are provided and experienced throughout the entire episode of care.

• Participate in mentorship, both as mentor and mentee, through various teaching and learning opportunities.

• Engage in projects and activities that support and advance institutional and departmental mission and goals.

  Key Qualifications:

• New York PT license

• Minimum of 3 years clinical practice as a licensed PT

• Acute care and/or oncology experience strongly preferred

• Lymphedema and pediatric experience beneficial

  Core Skills:

• Flexible with strong time management/organizational skills

• Effective in verbal and written communication including computer skills

• Detail and team oriented

• Invested in mentorship both in learning and sharing of clinical knowledge

  Additional Information:

• Location: Main Hospital, 1275 York Ave, in Manhattan, NY.

• Schedule: Hours vary between 6am-7:30pm, including weekends (subject to change)

• Reporting to the Supervisor, Physical Therapy
