Tiffany and Company Senior Operations Associate - 60632 in New York, New York

Responsible for physical and systematic receiving, issuing, shipping, and tracking of gemstones and pearls. Provide Inventory Control support for Gemstone Acquisition buying, grading and planning. This position may require additional projects and responsibilities deemed necessary to support departmental goals.Key AccountabilitiesStone Processing & SupplyReceive physically and process systematically all incoming stone deliveries within established timeframe of receipt. Ensure stones are moved physically and systematically in accordance with company and departmental SOP (Standard Operational Procedure).Return Rejected merchandise to supplier and disposition from JDE system.Provide subject matter guidance on JDE in-process transitions to support timely processing and error resolution.Support complex transaction completion for purchase order conversion, stone returns and break-upsComplete the systematic transfer of ownership from in-process to Tiffany owned merchandise.Ensure work orders are picked, filled, issued and transferred to Internal Manufacturing and Virtual Vendors on a timely basis.Inventory ManagementMaintain inventory in the proper stocking locations, filing stock away appropriately.Perform Cycle counts, High Value counts, review transaction history to ensure accuracy. Perform secondary counts as needed when discrepancies occur.Process Inventory Adjustments, Purchase Order Conversions, ST/OT transfers to Internal manufacturing and grading locations.TrainingPartner with department Analyst & Manager to establish training standards for management approval 20%Lead individual and multiple peer training sessions, monitoring post training quality outputRegularly review SOP documentation to ensure that it is accurately updated and distributed to reflect ongoing process enhancements.Project Management & ReportingLead special projects to support changing business requirements. Manage tasks, stone supply and additional requirements to ensure completion within required deliverables.Support inventory variance resolution through systematic and physical research. Document risk within inventory management processes and identify opportunities for improvement where necessary.Gather documentation as requested form Internal Audit, External Audit, and Finance to validate process complianceShippingEnsure all outbound packages are properly packaged as per procedures.Ensure all inbound packages are processed through IC within established service level agreementsEnsure that all outbound international shipments have detailed invoices and necessary documents such as CITES and harmonized tariff codes.General OperationsSupport continuous improvement initiatives through the identification of process improvements and communicate suggestions to management.As requested, assist with various projects and tasks associated with Diamond Division initiatives.Adhere to all Diamond Division and Tiffany & Co. workplace policies and procedures. Ensure that all safety measures and guidelines are followed.Complies with safety and security operating procedures as described by the manager and through safety training programs. Reports safety and security-related observations and incidents to the manager.Required Qualifications2-5 years of experience in Operations, Inventory Management or Supply Chain. Ability to prioritize while handling multiple tasksSolid written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft OfficeAbility to translate goals into clear workable action plansSelf-motivated, proactive and solution orientedPreferred QualificationsUndergraduate College DegreeExperience with J.D EdwardsKnowledge of Diamond IndustryExperience handling melee stones (sorting, weighing and picking)Location: This position requires you to work onsite at our Corporate Headquarters in New York, NY.The hiring range for this position ranges from $25.25 - $30.00 per hour.
