Senior Manager Learning and Talent Development

At Shake Shack, we are committed to ongoing learning and development. As a Senior Manager of Learning & Talent Development, you will help drive the design and development, implementation, and program facilitation of innovative, creative, high-impact learning and talent management solutions to empower our workforce with the essential skills needed to meet their professional and organizational objectives.  

The Learning & Talent Development team at Shake Shack is responsible for nurturing the skills, knowledge, and professional growth of Team Members throughout the organization, both in our Shacks and Home Office. The primary focus is on designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs and initiatives that support Team Members to deliver on business objectives. This team collaborates closely with all functions to identify skill gaps, learning requirements, and emerging learning trends.

You will be a member of the People Resources team, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of People Practices. You will directly manage a team responsible for creating, curating and delivering best in class learning content and curricula to Shake Shack Team Members at all levels. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with our Restaurant Training team, our Operations team and our People Resources team.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the business and key stakeholders, to identify learning needs across and co-create solutions for Team Members

  • Lead the development of learning initiatives designed to meet identified learning needs and align with organizational goals.

  • Drive development, delivery, and program administration of various training and development programs, both independently and in concert with vendors.

  • Facilitate both in-person and virtual training to diverse audiences.

  • Enable change management processes to support organizational growth.

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to assess learning needs and outcomes

  • Utilize data analysis to inform decision-making and improve program effectiveness.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.

  • Manages vendor relationships for learning and development courses, workshops, coaching, etc.  

  • Researches and keeps informed on L&D best practices and the evolving workplace.  

  • Travel as needed to support initiatives.

    Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of progressive experience in learning and leadership development (Learning & Development, Talent Management, Change Management, Organizational Development and Project Management)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, HR, Psychology or related field.

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing learning and development content.

  • Proficiency in instructional design and learning management systems (Workday Learning preferred)

  • Demonstrated ability to build trust-based collaborative partnerships across diverse populations and stakeholders.

  • Fluency with data processing and management, online development tools, and platforms, and the ability to quickly learn new technology/software.

  • Proactive and creative in identifying issues and new opportunities.

  • Expertise in ROI tracking and data-driven program evaluation.

  • Strong project management and prioritization skills, coupled with adaptability and resourcefulness to overcome ambiguity and barriers.

  • Clear and persuasive communicator with demonstrated ability to influence and present to executive audiences.

Pay Range - $118,595.00 - $151,245.00
