American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) offers powerful backing and support that helps companies of all sizes gain financial savings, control and efficiency. We provide a suite of payment and lending products, solutions for travel and everyday business spending, cross border payments, global currency solutions, and business financing. The Global Commercial Services Marketing (GCSM) team is responsible for creating an end-to-end global marketing strategy and distribution plan for our prospect & customer segments around the world.

Within the GCS business, Project Oculus is the preparation and migration of US Corporate assets from TRS to AENB that would allow AXP to access a lower cost of funding in AENB while diversifying the asset base through higher quality corporate assets. The Senior Manager will report within the Global & Large Marketing (G&LM) Organisation but have responsibility for ensuring preparedness across all of GCSM for the activities associated with Project Oculus Go Live.

How will you make an impact in this role?

You will partner closely with a variety of stakeholders including principally, the Project Oculus team, and all GCS Marketing teams as well as many Centers of Excellence across American Express.

Your role will be to understand the scope of Project Oculus and its requirements as they relate to Marketing and Marketing assets and collateral, and to work with Marketing stakeholders to assess impacts, catalog actions required, and oversee activities to prepare the Marketing organization for the transition to Project Oculus.

Core Responsibilities

  • Work with the Project Oculus Team to understand the scope of Project Oculus and the Net New AENB and Compliance requirements and become the Marketing Subject Matter Expert on these changes and how they relate to Marketing

  • Collaborate closely with internal partners and Centers of Excellence (eg GCO, LOBCO, Operational Excellence) to ensure full understanding of necessary Oculus Preparedness activities

  • Catalog existing Marketing assets across all distribution channels (Prospect, Customer, Field) and for all GCS Segments (SBS, Mid Market, Global & Large), identifying all assets in need of change, changes required and responsible parties.

  • Partner with Marketing owners to make changes and update assets in readiness for a timely Oculus launch.

  • Clearly communicate progress up to top level management; reporting on milestone progress, raising key decisions and issues for resolution

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience as a Marketing collateral owner, in Project Management, or driving critical initiatives

  • Broad understanding of GCS Marketing and our collateral landscape

  • Previous experience supporting cross-functional initiatives (ideally working with GCO / LOBCO and or Operational Excellence)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with executive presence and ability to rally others around a vision

  • Strong relationship management skills with ability to interact with partners across all management levels

  • Curiosity, a willingness to learn & a sense of ownership and accountability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six Sigma and other related certifications to demonstrate control mindset is a plus

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits
