The Global Lounge Experiences team’s mission is to be the indisputable leader in the premium lounge space through a strong, relevant Centurion Lounge footprint, exceptional customer experience, and differentiated partnerships.

In 2023, AXP opened it’s first city lounge location, Centurion New York. Centurion New York is a luxury space with unparalleled views and design located in the heart of New York City – it delivers exclusive fine dining and lounge experiences to AXP’s Centurion Card Members. Each space in Centurion New York is crafted to offer a unique, immersive experience, all infused with Centurion’s signature hospitality and service.

The Manager/Senior Manager, Centurion New York Events, will be the primary point of contact for Centurion Card Members and AXP corporate clients interested in hosting an event at Centurion New York. This individual will lead Card Member and corporate event programming from ideation to execution, ranging from advising Card Members on our offerings to contracting and day of operations and execution.

This individual will embody teamwork and collaborate with key stakeholders to communicate and curate the experience of the spaces to bring Centurion Membership to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee Sales and Operations of event space in Centurion New York

  • Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies and standard operating procedures

  • Manage and cultivate relationships, including serving as primary point of contact for new event proposals

  • Develop and coordinate sales collateral, including event menus through partnership with culinary and operations teams

  • Develop and oversee management of internal operating budgets

  • Anticipate and address Card Members’ service needs as they arise and resolve all matters where expectations are not met

  • Maintain effective communication with American Express Hospitality General Manager, Membership Concierge Professional teams, and F&B operator

  • Conduct pre and post event evaluations and report on outcomes

Qualifications

  • Preferably 8 years of previous sales and events management, with experience at an in-venue operation with similar service, guest relations and operational standards.

  • Solutions-oriented, strategic thinker with attention to detail

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to relay creative solutions and remain flexible across various problem solving approaches

  • Strong leadership abilities, sound judgment and knowledge of Sales, Catering & Event Service operations.

  • Exceptional project management and budgeting skills

  • May require schedule flexibility (days, nights, and/or weekends)

Qualifications

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits
