The Role:
Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Java Full Stack Developer to serve our diverse base of global clients. As a member of our team, you will build cutting edge, cloud-based software that powers modern business. Location: New York
Responsibilities:
- Proficiency in Java 17 with experience in Writing Web API, backend logic (batch jobs / Kafka processors) Good to have Angular/ReactJS background.
- Candidate should be ready to work from client office for minimum 3 days a week.
- Exposure to Non-Relational DB like MongoDB.
- Experience with Kafka
- Proficient in using and adopting CI/CD Devops tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Urban Code Deploy/Harness etc.
- Self -directed and ability to lead efforts independently or team
- Candidate should have good hands on experience on JUNIT, J2EE, Spring boot & Webservices (SOAP & REST).
- Familiarity with Agile/Jira/Scrums is mandatory
- Candidate should be able to work as individual contributor as well as team player and co-ordinate with client stakeholders (client managers, SME, Architect, Business) and offshore team.
- Candidate should have exposure in microservice applications
- Associate should have good analytical skills, should be able to debug the application and understand the concepts.
- Candidate should have experience in different phases of project execution like requirement gathering, analysis, design, unit testing, test support.
- Candidate should have basic experience in banking and financial domain.
- Responsible for providing technical support to the team
Required Skill:
- 5+ years of experience as Java microservice software developer
- Banking and financial services domain exp. is mandatory
- Hands on knowledge in designing and delivering Java/ J2EE
- Should have very good communication skill and should be able to assess and analyze work with client independently

The annual salary for this position is between $68,422 - $114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
