Amazon Senior Financial Analyst in New York, New York

Description

Amazon Advertising seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to be a strategic business partner to the Agency and Global Advertiser to drive growth of the Amazon Ads business. We are looking for a top analytical mind to develop a deep Agency understanding, create key performance indicators, provide guidance to prioritize and influence upcoming agreements, and measure success of our Agency partners.

The successful candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity and have highly respected business acumen. This role partners directly with cross-functional leadership and multiple Advertising Finance teams, and requires strong communication and technical skills.

Key job responsibilities

  • Provide strategic support to key Agency & Advertiser agreements, initiatives, and investments

  • Build, iterate, and automate financial reports, metrics, and scorecards to support short and long-term planning

  • Own weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting of Financial performance for newly launched countries

  • Ad hoc business support

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $56,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
