The Sr. Director, Brand Strategy should be comfortable writing and delivering presentations and be comfortable serving as a bridge between research and creative teams, high-profile influencer campaigns, socialmedia and experiential programming. The overarching ask will be to help inform creative output through research and development of consumer insights and strategically-based brand/product/service narratives. This role will sit at the intersection of creative and strategy, with the opportunity to focus on a portfolio of high-profile pop-culture brands.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Lead development of comms plans, campaign rollouts, creative ecosystems, and customer journeys
    • Mine qualitative research for consumer-based/cultural insights that enhance the creative product
    • Identify bespoke cultural moments that are ripe and ownable for brand activation
    • Lead authorship of campaign talent filters and casting recommendations
    • Partner with creative teams on out-the-box extension tactics to support big idea platforms
    • Understand cultural nuances to ensure minimizing risk
    • Ensure deliverables meet the client needs
    • Lead discussions with creative partners to ensure materials are clear, concise and persuasive to help bring the program strategy to life
    • Partner with account and strategy teams to build case studies and contribute to award show submissions
    • Be passionate about, and fluent in various cultures and sub cultures, as well as the people and brands that create thosecultures
    • Set direction and lead ideation of on-brand, forward thinking creative solutions in comms plans and integrated marketing.
    • Passion for diving deep into research and data to unearth actionable insights that propel the creative.
    • Subscribe to a constant plan of refinements and updates as new tech, media and consumer insights arise
    • Communicate strategic narratives through engaging storylines and presentations


QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Ability to bridge the strategic and creative process, from assignment brief through activation at all stages of campaign lifecycles
    • Excellent written and presentation skills
    • Experienced with client interactions
    • Ability to articulate smart and sometimes complex solutions in a straightforward and compelling manner to existing and prospective clientsalike
    • Generate original ideas for creative platforms that inspire and guide creative execution
    • Have excellent time management, organization and prioritization skills.
    • Have the proven ability to work under tight deadlines and handle pressure, while consistently paying attention to accuracy and quality of work.
    • The ability to quickly and effectively adapt to changing needs and expectations.
    • Minimum 5-7 years experience in a strategic position in a culture and creative driven agency or brand environment


$85, 000 - $138, 000 a year

An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
