NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing Senior Associate Director, Special Events in New York, New York

Position Summary

NYU's Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Associate Director, Special Events. The selected candidate will act as a liaison between the Special Events Department and other Departments, Centers, and Program Areas. They will conceptualize themes, research requests, assess feasibility, make recommendations, conduct vendor and venue negotiations, and ensure logistics are prepared, including security, AV, transport, and more. The selected candidate will also share event planning acumen and institutional knowledge with other staff members, handle complex projects and assignments that require substantive job knowledge, and direct office operations in the absence of and/or in tandem with the Director.

Qualifications

The selected candidate must have a bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience with special events planning, site selection, theme development, menu planning, vendor negotiations, staff supervision, and budget management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong customer service skills including excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, strong project management skills, and the ability to solve problems in real time and juggle numerous demands in the moment are also required.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $83,500.00 to USD $103,500.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
