New York University Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Tenured Faculty in New York, New York

We are seeking applications for a new Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs (SADAA) to lead the academic enterprise (the portfolio of academic offerings) at one of the most dynamic Colleges of Nursing in the country. The SADAA is a member of the senior leadership team and manages the academic programs through: continuous attention to program quality; systematic curricular planning, development, implementation, evaluation, and revision; implementation of learning innovations (in particular, learning technologies and simulation); streamlining programs of study, and creating innovative pathways and partnerships to degree completion.

The SADAA is appointed as an Associate or Full Professor on either a clinical (continuing-contract) or tenured faculty line based on their professional profile. In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual salary range for the faculty position and administrative supplement for this position is:

  • Associate Professor (tenured) and SADAA: $157,162.00 - $227,162.00

  • P rofessor (tenured) and SADAA: $187,734.00 - $257,734.00

New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.

  • An earned doctorate in nursing or a related field

  • A track record of scholarship, teaching and service suitable for the rank of Associate or Full Professor either as a Clinical or Tenured/Tenure-Track faculty member at NYU Meyers

  • A record of successful teaching in one or more of the types of programs offered by Meyers

  • Experience in managing courses and/or educational programs preferred

  • Awareness of current educational and professional trends in nursing

  • Skill in using data to drive operational decisions

  • Evidence of strong communication and interpersonal collaborative skills, leadership ability, and excellent decision-making, managerial and delegation skills

  • Must be well versed in quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data in NYU systems and be able to strictly follow data privacy and security procedures for data handling and analysis to ensure adherence to legal and institutional standard
