Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred; • Extensive experience in application and infrastructure security, with a proven track record in a senior role and a deep understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization, and security frameworks.• Proven experience in a 3rd level support role or similar technical support position.• Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) are desirable.

Duties Description The Senior Application and Infrastructure Security Engineer is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust security measures across the company’s technology applications and infrastructure. This role involves performing in-depth security assessments, developing strategic security initiatives, and collaborating with employees across the organization to ensure the highest levels of security and compliance. The Senior Application and Infrastructure Security Engineer is a technical liaison with business units whose needs include financial ERP systems, SQL servers, SharePoint development, Azure provisioning, and more. Infrastructure and Security: • Hold primary accountability for BPCA’s cybersecurity posture, leading the development and execution of comprehensive security strategies for applications and infrastructure based on the latest security threats, trends, and technologies, as well as industry standards and regulations.• Conduct advanced security assessments and audits of applications and infrastructure, identifying and prioritizing security risks, and developing effective mitigation strategies.• Lead the monitoring of security systems and respond to security incidents and breaches, performing forensic analyses to identify the root cause(s) of security incidents and recommending corrective actions.• Develop, implement, and regularly update incident response plans.• Work closely with departments, operations, and IT teams to foster a culture of security awareness, providing expert guidance and training on security best practices and protocols.• Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure security compliance.• Maintain comprehensive documentation of security policies, procedures, and incident reports.• Prepare and present detailed reports on security status and metrics to senior management and stakeholders.Application support: • Writing and optimizing SQL queries, managing databases, and performing data migrations.• Creating and modifying reports using tools like SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and Management Reporter• Facilitating the use of Power BI for advanced data visualization and reporting, as needed, as well as customization tools like Modifier with VBA, Integration Manager, eConnect, and Smart List Builder.3rd level systems support: • Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for complex technical issues related to hardware, software, and network systems, responding to escalated service desk tickets and ensure the timely and efficient resolution of issues.• Ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability of IT infrastructure, generating and analyzing reports on system performance, incidents, and support metrics.• Identify root causes of recurring issues and implement long-term solutions to prevent future occurrences.• Maintain detailed documentation of problem-solving processes and solutions.• Work closely with 1st and 2nd level support teams to provide guidance and knowledge transfer.• Communicate effectively with end-users and stakeholders to understand and address their technical needs.• Participate in and lead IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments, ensuring that project deliverables meet technical and business requirements.
