What does Zenith Data Governance do?

Working across various teams such as Analytics, Engineering, and Technology Activation teams, Data Governance designs and enforces the processes and protocols to manage data effectively across the ecosystem in an effort to maintain quality, consistency, availability of data needed to produce client’s marketing performance reports more efficiently. We then work to understand key decision points so we can ensure the correct business logic is applied, documented and executed. Once that data is mined, it helps to optimize campaigns and tell the stories that bring our clients closer to their marketing, helping them understand if they’re talking to the people they want, and if they’re doing it the right way.

What does a successful Senior Analyst look like?

Familiarity with media analytics and data helps, especially digital media, but isn’t necessarily a requirement. Prior professional experience in a data related role is required

What does a Data Governance Senior Analyst do day-to-day?

Senior Analysts support the foundation of the Data Governance and Analytics teams. They work closely with core Analytics teams in understanding client media reporting requirements and process. They also work with other cross functional teams and help implement standardized processes and protocols to enable efficient data management. They behave like Business Analysts who understand the business requirements and are able to produce clear documentation to facilitate automation of data processing. They are curious and demonstrate attention to detail as well as problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree. Degree in a related field is a plus (i.e. STEM, Economics, MIS, BI, Marketing, etc.).

  • 1-3 years of experience working with large data sets or conducting quantitative analysis.

  • Strong communication skills. Ability to speak and write professionally. Ability and comfort with presenting work by phone or within small groups.

  • Ability to communicate complex ideas to both external and internal clients.

  • Experience with digital media and analytics tools (Ad Servers, Measurement Vendors, BI Software)

  • Understanding of a broad range of online advertising media channels such as Display Banners, Email, Contextual, and Social

  • Knowledge of digital media metrics (Impressions, Clicks, CTR, CPM, etc.).

  • Ability to structure and manipulate large data sets to answer business questions. Familiarity with SQL, pivot tables, and vlookups.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • World-class customer service skills. Ability to service clients, partners and internal stakeholders by understand their needs, translating those needs into creative solutions, and delivering on those solutions with diligence and a sense of urgency.

Preferred Experience:

  • Knowledge of digital marketing and advertising landscape and concepts.

  • Knowledge of visualization tools like Tableau and PowerBI.

  • Proficient with analytics tools and relational databases (Google Analytics, MS Access)

  • Advanced Excel skills (ability to work with macros, advanced formulas).

  • Knowledge of python and other programming languages.

Additional Information

Compensation Range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
