Alternative Investment Funds (Private Equity, Family Office, Venture Capital) Senior Accounting Associates serve as members of various client service teams. Senior Associates must possess strong knowledge of financial reporting and back office operations related to alternative investment funds. In addition to the preparation and review of financial statements, Senior Associates assist in client issues, investor relations, and communicate directly with clients and financial management. Senior Associates mentor junior team members.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
A minimum GPA of 3.0
CPA preferred or qualified to sit
3-5 years relevant work experience with an accounting firm and preferably at least 1 year of work with Alternative Investment Fund or Fund Administrator;
Strong leadership, multitasking and organizational skills;
Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks
Initiative to seek out opportunities in a fast-paced environment;
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
Ability to interact with and gain the respect of all levels of internal and client personnel
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills;
Self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Proficient use of technology including MS Excel; and
Strong attention to detail.
